Newsletter: Starting Up!
Happy September to you all!
Things have started back up again! We had our first Tuesday Bible study on Zoom. We’re currently looking at some of what it means to be an Anglican, so we explored the Creeds. Coming up we’ll be looking at various other parts of the service. Feel free to join in! The Zoom link is the same as for Sunday morning.
As for Thursday mornings, we are going to cancel them indefinitely due to lack of attendance. So, there will be no Centering Prayer, no Eucharist, and no Bible Study on Thursday mornings.
Start Up Barbecue!
On Sunday, September 17th, we are planning to have a Welcome Back Barbecue after the 10am service. The church will provide hamburgers and hotdogs (veggie options available) and you are invited to bring a salad or chips or dessert or drinks… something to share! Please sign up on the sheet on the office window.
Fall Sale at the Church
This year’s Fall Sale will be on Saturday, October 14th from 9am-2pm. The Sale will be more like a market this year, with some outside vendors participating. We’ll also have a table for the Church’s attic treasures, and a repair-service table with Rob & Andrew, so bring any items you’d like to have repaired. And, of course, there will also be food on offer!
We would like to have another planning meeting on Thursday, September 21st at 11am in the Church! If you would like to help plan and organize the Fall Sale, please come to this meeting!
Care Home Ministry
We continue on with our Care Home services. The next one is at Harrison Landing on September 13th at 2pm.
As always, please let me know if you or anyone you know would like a visit from the clergy!
Love from,
Andrew
