Fall Fundraiser 2020.png

Given that Halloween will most likely not happen in the way we are accustomed to this year, we thought it would be a good idea to have an event that culminates at that time of year.

The idea behind the ‘Trick or Treat Basket Fundraiser’ is that people will be able to choose a basket to send to a friend or fellow parishioner for $30-$50. The baskets would be filled with donations from people and would be delivered to families and others on or just before Halloween.

We are looking for donations for filling up our baskets…here are some ideas:

For kids baskets: candy, popcorn, snacks, pop, colouring books and crayons, board and card games, small toys, activity/puzzle books.

For Family baskets: snacks (popcorn, candy and such), hot chocolate, board games, cards, homemade baked goods - must be individually packaged, jams, family activities.

For Grown up baskets: crackers and snack foods, homemade baked goods - must be individually packaged, chocolate, cards and games, non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages, fancy napkins, candles.

…and anything else you can think of!! Have fun with it!!

Donations of items or cash can be dropped off at the Church during office hours - Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 9 am to 1 pm. Please bring in before October 14.

Order forms are now available from the office or click the button below for a PDF version.

Please have orders in by October 15.

Order online at pwrdf.org/Christmas cards2020 or contact Mike Ziemerink at mziemerink@pwrdf.org or 416-822-9083 today. Tax receipts will be issued for donations of $25 and higher.

October Anglican Journal.jpg

October Anglican Journal issue now online

As some Canadian churches continue to reopen while others face renewed restrictions, the Anglican Journal’s October issue offers a view into a few of the places where the church is becoming something new. We take a look at:

  • How ministries for children and youth have continued online

  • Ways that seminaries have continued their efforts to educate future leaders in the church

  • What it is like to be ordained amidst lockdowns

In addition, monthly columns from the Primate and National Indigenous Anglican Archbishop speak to the discomfort of faithfulness amid transformation, and how God calls people to hope, respectively.

If you wish to continue to donate to St. Andrew’s during this time, you can do so utilizing our PAD (Pre-Authorized Debit) option. Once a month, on or after the 12th, we submit to RBC our PAD file to automatically debit from your bank account. If the 12th falls on a weekend or statutory holiday, we process the file the next bank business day. To begin this process, call Carl Markwart at 604-575-3068 to provide your name and banking information. Three bank details are needed (usually taken from the bottom of a void cheque) – your bank’s transit number, bank number and your personal bank account number.

Alternatively, you can drop off your weekly envelopes through the church’s mail slot or mail your donation to St. Andrew’s 20955 Old Yale Rd, Langley City BC V3A 7P8.

There is also the option of e-transfer. You can just send it to the church’s email,  standrewslangley@shaw.ca, and it will be sent to our Treasurer.
