If you wish to continue to donate to St. Andrew’s during this time, you can do so utilizing our PAD (Pre-Authorized Debit) option. Once a month, on or after the 12th, we submit to RBC our PAD file to automatically debit from your bank account. If the 12th falls on a weekend or statutory holiday, we process the file the next bank business day. To begin this process, call Carl Markwart at 604-575-3068 to provide your name and banking information. Three bank details are needed (usually taken from the bottom of a void cheque) – your bank’s transit number, bank number and your personal bank account number.
Alternatively, you can drop off your weekly envelopes through the church’s mail slot or mail your donation to St. Andrew’s 20955 Old Yale Rd, Langley City BC V3A 7P8.
There is also the option of e-transfer. You can just send it to the church’s email, standrewslangley@shaw.ca, and it will be sent to our Treasurer.

From David Harrison:
“I hope that everyone is staying safe and keeping well. I look forward to seeing everyone again once this present crisis is over.
As most of you know I enjoy looking after the garden. I would like to thank Larry and Christine Amskold for cutting the grass which is quite an endeavor. Perhaps we can convince Stuart Allan to add a self-propelled hand mower to the wish list to make things a bit easier for Christine who has been doing the mowing around the edges with a lot of effort. The flower year started with a nice display of daffodils who were joined by tulips which sprang up after a long hibernation. I was dismayed to see that aphids had attacked the rose bushes until I remembered a recipe from watching THE QUEEN’S GARDENS on PBS. Any of you who are suffering from bugs and want an organic solution the answer is very simple. Grind up heads of garlic and soak it in water for a few days. You then strain the mash out and put it in a spray bottle. It works extremely well. Take the mash and put it around the base of the plants and it keeps other bugs off your plants.
At the moment, the peonies are all in bud and some of them have already come into bloom. The rose bushes revived and have all put out buds and one or two of them already have blooms on them. I think that with a bit more warm weather and sun we will see a very nice display. The hydrangeas are also working on giving us a display and should be in bloom by, if not before, the end of June. This spring we were not able to have a “clean up day” and it has been and will continue to be on going. During a wind storm the top of one of the fir trees in the memorial garden came down and created a mess which took quite a few days to clean up. Thanks to Larry and the trusty sit down lawn mower I was, with his help, able to move a log which was the remains of the piece that came down. Thank you Larry.
If any of you would like to get out of the house and sit in a nice quiet spot there is a bench in the Memorial Garden behind the yellow garden shed. It is a cool place to sit on a warm day and you could take a book to read or a picnic lunch or, meet up with a friend to have a chat.
I look forward to seeing you all soon again.”
Please keep checking in on each other!
