Newsletter: What's on at St. Andrew's this week? The parking lot is Full!

Happy Friday Everyone,

The church has been buzzing with activity this last week, with volunteers tending to the indoor and outdoor spaces and helping with the day-to-day operations. Thank you for all that you do!

Please note, we are updating our office hours to Tuesday-Thursday, 10am to noon, or by appointment.

This Saturday, October 5th, Ron Cares Society will be holding a Care Kit Assembly & Fundraising Day. Join the action 10am-2pm if you’re able and interested. On Sunday, expect to see all kinds of pets at our St. Francis Day Pet Blessing during the 10am Sung Eucharist service. Don’t forget to bring yours!

Heads up, the Thursday Healing Eucharist on October 10th is cancelled while we host a meeting here at the church that day, and will be back on schedule the following week.

Throughout the week, you’ll see a film production crew parked at St. Andrew’s, so parking will be limited to the row closest to the church - they’ll be here Monday through Thursday.

The PWRDF Board is committed to playing a key role to raise $65,000 to mark PWRDF’s 65 years of programming and partnership, including a commitment to support refugees and displaced people. That includes promoting but also participating in ways to raise funds to support refugees and internally displaced people in Gaza, Ethiopia, Tanzania, South Sudan, Jordan, Ukraine and more. Support board members and support participants across Canada as they walk, cycle, roller blade, bake, read, knit, crochet, swim, kayak, canoe, dance and sing – or any other activity by which to sustain and strengthen the support of PWRDF and our partners to contribute to providing safety and dignity for refugees and displaced people and families.

As always, please let me know if you or anyone you know would like a visit from the clergy!

Love from,

Andrew
