Newsletter: September is wrapping up, and we still have lots going on!

We’re nearing the end of September already, and there is still so much in store for us! The Venerable Andrew Halladay is away until later on Tuesday, September 24th, with The Reverend Peter Smyth presiding this Sunday for the 18th after Pentecost services.

This week, Prayer Shawl Knitting Group is back on. Lorraine will be in touch with the regulars, and all are welcome to join (more info below). If you haven’t already, it’s not too late to sign up for the Retreat: Everyday Reconciliation on Saturday, September 28th, followed by Evening Prayer (1:30 to 4:30pm). Check the office windows on your way in…

For next week’s 10am Picnic Eucharist, come prepared for battle with a toy sword, nerf gun, and/or pool noodle for St Michael & All Angels!

What’s on weekly…

Please join us for Thursday Healing Eucharist at 11am, if you are in need of healing prayers for yourself or someone you love.

Bible Study via Zoom on Tuesdays at 7pm.

Choir Practice on Thursdays at 7pm.

We could use a few extra hands to help on September 28th, 9am to noon… enough time to freshen up and return for the Retreat!

Did you see the Langley Advance Times article about the Market/Boot Sale at St. Andrew’s? Way to get the word out, Rosemary!

The PWRDF Board is committed to playing a key role to raise $65,000 to mark PWRDF’s 65 years of programming and partnership, including a commitment to support refugees and displaced people. That includes promoting but also participating in ways to raise funds to support refugees and internally displaced people in Gaza, Ethiopia, Tanzania, South Sudan, Jordan, Ukraine and more. Support board members and support participants across Canada as they walk, cycle, roller blade, bake, read, knit, crochet, swim, kayak, canoe, dance and sing – or any other activity by which to sustain and strengthen the support of PWRDF and our partners to contribute to providing safety and dignity for refugees and displaced people and families.

As always, please let me know if you or anyone you know would like a visit from the clergy!

Love from,

Andrew
