Newsletter: Season of Creation - hello, rainy September!

Happy Wednesday! Time to turn off the air conditioners and put on your raincoats as we get into this Season of Creation.

Read below for what’s happening at St. Andrew’s and the wider community:

The PWRDF Board is committed to playing a key role to raise $65,000 to mark PWRDF’s 65 years of programming and partnership, including a commitment to support refugees and displaced people. That includes promoting but also participating in ways to raise funds to support refugees and internally displaced people in Gaza, Ethiopia, Tanzania, South Sudan, Jordan, Ukraine and more. Support board members and support participants across Canada as they walk, cycle, roller blade, bake, read, knit, crochet, swim, kayak, canoe, dance and sing – or any other activity by which to sustain and strengthen the support of PWRDF and our partners to contribute to providing safety and dignity for refugees and displaced people and families.

Check out The Centre for Spiritual Renewal’s listings for more events here.

One application has been sent in and another is in the works...

Some of you may have met Ron who shares our space throughout the week to prepare his Community Care Kits. He needs assistance with assembling the many kits he distributes in our community, and is looking for about 8 volunteers to come together for a day, so if you’re looking for something to help with, please consider contacting Ron!

As always, please let me know if you or anyone you know would like a visit from the clergy!

Love from,

Andrew
