Spiritual Practice/Study - 10:30 September Lectio Divina*

*In Western Christianity, Lectio Divina (Latin for "Divine Reading") is a traditional monastic practice of scriptural reading, meditation and prayer intended to promote communion with God and to increase the knowledge of God's word. In the view of one commentator, it does not treat Scripture as texts to be studied, but as the living word.

Traditionally, Lectio Divina has four separate steps: read; meditate; pray; contemplate. First a passage of Scripture is read, then its meaning is reflected upon. This is followed by prayer and contemplation on the Word of God.

Monthly Spiritual Practice and Sung Evening Prayer

4:30 – 6:00 pm.   Enjoy a variety of spiritual practices and leaders to explore, learn, and practice together. A time to reflect and experience God’s Presence as we deepen on our spiritual journey.

6:00 – 6:45 pm.   A candle-lit time of quiet Taize-style sung prayers, scriptures, and time in reflection.

Rev. Andrew Halladay & Rev. David Taylor.

Next one is: Saturday, October 29

The Bible is filled with stories, experiences, and interpretations of God’s presence in the world. God made the world in love, sustains the world in love and renews the world in love. Remember this when you read the Bible. What we bring to the Bible informs what we take from the Bible.
Facilitated by Rev. David Taylor

Celtic Treasures

A Retreat to Explore & Experience Christian Celtic Spirituality

 November 25 – 27, 2022

Friday 3 pm – Sunday 1 pm

What is it about Christian Celtic Spirituality that continues to rise from the ancient paths to lead us in the earthy embodied ways of living our authentic faith?  Perhaps it began with songs sung while washing the baby, when planting seeds, or with prayers said when bowing at the moon at night…

Suggested donation per pack of 12 cards is $25.00.  There are also some packs of previous year’s designs still in stock.
