As November comes to a close with its sub-zero temperatures, we remember to be grateful for warmth and shelter. Yesterday, another Extreme Weather Alert was activated in Langley, until further notice. In response, the Gateway of Hope (Salvation Army) on the Langley Bypass will operate daily, 7pm to 9:30am, providing accessible, pet-friendly, warm, and hospitable shelter (meals and showers); intake until beds are full.
This Saturday, Nov 30 we’re having our Advent Quiet Day Retreat, 1:30-4:30 pm and the theme is “Journeying to Joy,” where will will reflect on the Advent spiritual journeys of John the Baptist and of Mary, Jesus’ mother. We’ll close with sung evening prayer. Please register by e-mail parishadmin@standrewslangley.ca.

Planning for the Christmas season already?! We’re holding our Christmas Eve Family Eucharist at 7pm, with a service on Christmas Day at 10am., after which the church will be closed until January 4th.
Speaking of planning, St. Andrew’s will be sending out a package with the 2025 Stewardship Plan, including financial pledge forms which will help us budget for the upcoming year. At the Sunday, Dec 1st service, our people’s warden will give a brief PowerPoint presentation about planning for 2025. Hard copies of the plan and pledge forms will be available December 1st onward, and we hope to receive them back by December 15th.
With gratitude from the executive team, parish admin, and Andrew!
