Newsletter: Acknowledging and learning about The Reign of Christ and Advent

Reign of Christ and into Advent…

We hope you and your beloved young ones will be joining us for this Sunday’s Family Eucharist being held at our 10am service! It promises to be a fun, kid-friendly learning opportunity for everyone.

In place of Bible Study, we invite you to join Bishop John Stephens for an Advent Series (starting next week), looking at Celtic theology as offered by several Celtic saints. Into this mix will be added some scientific thought and study, Celtic prayers, and life experience. This will all be tied to the Season of Advent as we make time to prepare for the coming of Christ. When: Tuesdays, from Nov. 26 to Dec. 17 // 7 pm Where: Zoom Register here: https://us06web.zoom.us/meeting/register/tZ0rceGuqzopG9SV-rFQxB4DWTteAjloX9RM#/registration

Wrapping up November, the Advent Quiet Day Retreat at St. Andrew’s will be on November 30th, and the theme is “Journeying to Joy,” where will will reflect on the Advent spiritual journeys of John the Baptist and of Mary, Jesus’ mother. We’ll close with sung evening prayer. Please register by e-mail parishadmin@standrewslangley.ca or phone 604-534-6514.

Two last updates for your calendars, as we plan for December: on Christmas Eve we’ll hold our Family Eucharist at 7pm. Our Christmas Day service will be at 10am.
