Newsletter: Advent Series, Family Eucharist, and Journeying to Joy

Update your calendars…

We sincerely thank the volunteers and everyone who helped, supported, and attended the We Remember Orpheus Concert at St. Andrew’s on November 11th.

As we head into the last half of November, grab your calendars, since there are a few updates and events you won’t want to miss!

This Sunday, November 17th, the Ven. Andrew Halladay will be away, with Rev. Paul Guiton presiding over both services.

On the last Sunday of the month (November 24th) we’ll have the Family Eucharist at our 10 am service, as we acknowledge the Reign of Christ. Parents/caregivers, aunts, uncles, grandparents, and friends: bring your children, youth, nieces, nephews, and grandchildren!

In place of Bible Study, we invite you to join Bishop John Stephens for an Advent Series, looking at Celtic theology as offered by several Celtic saints. Into this mix will be added some scientific thought and study, Celtic prayers, and life experience. This will all be tied to the Season of Advent as we make time to prepare for the coming of Christ. When: Tuesdays, from Nov. 26 to Dec. 17 // 7 pm Where: Zoom Register here: https://us06web.zoom.us/meeting/register/tZ0rceGuqzopG9SV-rFQxB4DWTteAjloX9RM#/registration

Wrapping up November, the Advent Quiet Day Retreat at St. Andrew’s will be on November 30th, and the theme is “Journeying to Joy,” where will will reflect on the Advent spiritual journeys of John the Baptist and of Mary, Jesus’ mother. We’ll close with sung evening prayer. Please register by e-mail parishadmin@standrewslangley.ca or phone 604-534-6514.
